Food Day Comes to CT

Food Day on October 24, 2011 is a nation wide event that will brings awareness to what we eat and where it comes from by promoting healthy, affordable food produced in a sustainable and humane way.  The goals of Food Day are:

  • To reduce diet related diseases
  • Promote safe and healthy foods
  • Support sustainable farms
  • Expand access to food and alleviate hunger
  • Protect environment & animals by reforms
  • Curb junk food marketing to kids
  • Support fair conditions for food and farm workers
