Food Day on October 24, 2011 is a nation wide event that will brings awareness to what we eat and where it comes from by promoting healthy, affordable food produced in a sustainable and humane way. The goals of Food Day are:
- To reduce diet related diseases
- Promote safe and healthy foods
- Support sustainable farms
- Expand access to food and alleviate hunger
- Protect environment & animals by reforms
- Curb junk food marketing to kids
- Support fair conditions for food and farm workers
